Lamps made out of blocks of Himalayan Salt provide a relaxing and serene atmosphere to any location.  Use them in your bedroom, living room or anywhere you want to relax.  According to Clemence Lefevre’s book “Himalayan Salt Crystal Lamps,” salt lamps can help reduce EMP (electro-magnetic pollution) and fatigue created by certain office equipment, especially computers. Himalayan salt can add flavor and beauty to your food.  The salt can be added directly to your food or can be used as a serving platter for more subtle flavoring.

Himalayan salt is widely touted for its mineral content, containing 84 minerals in total. In addition to sodium, Himalayan salt is relatively high in iron, magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, potassium and chloride. It also contains traces of boron, fluoride, iodine, zinc, selenium and copper, all of which are necessary for bodily health. Himalayan salts make a great body and facial scrub.  On the face the salt scrub can be great for acne relief.   As a body scrub it is great for exfoliation, revitalization and rejuvenation of your skin.

To make a scrub, simply fill a jar of your choice nearly to the top with Himalayan salt.  Add oil to cover until the salt has an oily but not runny consistency.  Add a few drops of essential oil if you like.

No. 5  Get Relief from Sinus Pain

For relief from sinus pain, try creating a nasal wash with a few grains of crystal salt in ¼ cup of warm water.  This can be used in a neti pot or similar device for clearing the nasal passage.
